Chester’s Highway Inn and Bone Fish Lodge is a dream come true for us and we are happy to be able to share our lodge with you. As natives to the beautiful island of Acklins, we believe the saying “Acklins Island…only Heaven is Better!” is really true!

You could not choose a better place for bone and sports fishing; Acklins is the ideal place for the experience. With unspoiled beauty and pristine beaches you will have a wonderful bone fishing experience.

To ensure your wonderful experience, we personally invested time and paid attention to detail in delivering an ideal getaway for your bone and sports fishing adventure.

Mr. Julius Chisholm, owner of the inn, is a government approved building contractor with more than thirty (30) years experience, was committed to creating and constructing a quality structure for visitors. With this in mind, he constructed the first phase of this Chester’s Highway Inn Bone Fishing Lodge. Built in contemporary Bahamian architecture, Julius paid great attention to deliver skilled craftsmanship and quality construction. However, when he’s not overseeing a construction project, he enjoys baking mouth watering pastries that leaves you asking for more. Be sure to try one when you come!

Mrs. Arnette Chisholm is a former banker and a skilled organist and music teacher, enjoys sharing with visitors the rich culture of the Bahamas and of course the native sounds of Junkanoo, Rake ‘n’ Scrape, and Calypso. She enjoys entertaining, preparing delicious, native seafood dishes, and ensuring that the every guest to the lodge is comfortable. Nothing beats good Bahamian hospitality!

Locating Chester ’s Highway Inn Bone-Fish Lodge:

 Chester’s Highway Inn Bone-Fish Lodge is located at the northern tip of Acklins. One can take the Ferry from Crooked Island, to Lovely Bay, and on to Chester’s Highway Inn Bone-Fish Lodge (four/4 miles away).

From Spring Point Airport…travel north travel forty (40 miles to the north) to Chester’s Highway Inn Bone Fish Lodge. This Fishing Lodge sits on a portion of some three (3)plus acres of land just on the bight of Chester’s Acklins.

About the Island

Acklins Island is one of three (3) islands, which constitute the District of Crooked Island.

The settlement of Lovely Bay is closest to Chester’s Highway Inn Bone Fish Lodge, and closest to the Island of Crooked Island.

The Bight of Acklins is a body of water, which is enclosed by the Islands of Acklins, Crooked Island and Long Cay.
